Technology that revolutionize your world

Technology….. Something which never ends and which evolves constantly. Something that has changed your approach towards life. Every decade comes with a new revolution in technology. In 1970’s-cell phones, 1980’s-personnel computers, in 1990’s- internet and the process is everlasting.

Today everything is just a click away from you:- whether it’s food, clothing, housing, news etc.  You just have to choose and that thing will be at your doorsteps in a few minutes.

*It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.

*What a computer is to me is the most remarkable tool that we have ever come up with. It’s the equivalent of a bicycle for our minds.

Holographic computing:

When you change the way you see the world, you can change the world you see.Microsoft HoloLens is the first fully untethered, see-through holographic computer. It enables high-definition holograms to come to life in your world, seamlessly integrating with your physical places, spaces, and things. We call this experience mixed reality. Holograms mixed with your real world will unlock all-new ways to create, communicate, work, and play.

For the first time, holograms will become practical tools of daily life. Interact with them to learn, or create something new. When you share your ideas, show and tell from multiple perspectives. Your digital content and creations will be more relevant when they come to life in the world around you.

Transform the way you work. Microsoft HoloLens will take productivity and collaboration in commercial applications to a new dimension.

AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES:

  • What will you do when your car drives automatically without you? It will be the most exciting drive of your life which is now possible with GOOGLE AUTOMOTIVE CARS.

pic13

To start, GOOGLE built a prototype vehicle that’s designed to take you where you want to go at the push of a button no driving required.

Why self-driving cars matter

Imagine if everyone could get around easily and safely, regardless of their ability to drive.

Aging or visually impaired loved ones wouldn’t have to give up their independence. Time spent commuting could be time spent doing what you want to do. Deaths from traffic accidents—over 1.2 million worldwide every year—could be reduced dramatically, especially since 94% of accidents in the U.S. involve human error.

How it works

self-driving cars are designed to navigate safely through city streets.

They have sensors designed to detect objects as far as two football fields away in all directions, including pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles—or even fluttering plastic shopping bags and rogue birds. The software processes all the information to help the car safely navigate the road without getting tired or distracted.

3-d printers:

What if I say that now you can print your mobile case covers on your own? What if I say now you can even print a gun at your home…A real gun? Yes, now you can. This is 3-d printing.

what is 3-d printing?

3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the entire object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the eventual object.

3D printing industry:

The worldwide 3D printing industry is expected to grow from $3.07B in revenue in 2013 to $12.8B by 2018, and exceed $21B in worldwide revenue by 2020. As it evolves, 3D printing technology is destined to transform almost every major industry and change the way we live, work, and play in the future.

Not everybody can afford or is willing to buy their own 3D printer. Does this mean you cannot enjoy the possibilities of 3D printing? No, not to worry. There are 3D printing service bureaus like ShapewaysPonoko and Sculpteo that can very inexpensively print and deliver an object from a digital file that you simply upload to their user-friendly website. You can even sell your 3D designs on their website and make a little money out of it!

Applications:

3-d printers can almost print anything you wish. Just make a correct choice! You can print toys, covers, machine parts, body parts like  ears, nose,  fingers, a gun (not recommended) and much more. You can even manufacture another 3-d printer with that.

Wearable technology:

  • Wearable technology: It’s really annoying sometimes carrying big sized gadgets everywhere, especially in crowded areas. What if you can wear your gadgets and carry them easily anywhere you want!!!! Yes, this is wearable technology, one of the fastest growing tech-sector in the world with a wide range of products in the market. This is where innovation comes true!!!

Wearable technology (also called wearable gadgets) is a category of technology devices that can be worn by a consumer and often include tracking information related to health and fitness. Other wearable tech gadgets include devices that have small motion sensors to take photos and sync with your mobile devices.

This includes majorly three types of gadgets- GLASSES, SMARTWATCHES, AND HEALTH BRACELETS.

GOOGLE GLASSES:

Google Glass is a type of wearable technology with an optical head-mounted display (OHMD). It was developed by Google with the mission of producing a mass-market ubiquitous computer. Google Glass displays information in a smartphone-like hands-free format. Wearers communicate with the Internet via natural language voice commands. Google started selling a prototype of Google Glass to qualified “Glass Explorers” in the US on April 15, 2013, for a limited period for $1,500, before it became available to the public on May 15, 2014,[13] for the same price.

SMART WATCHES:

Well till now you have been using your wrist watch for checking time. But now it can do much more than that.

A Smart Watch is a computerized wristwatch with functionality that is enhanced beyond timekeeping. While early models can perform basic tasks, such as calculations, translations, and game-playing, modern smartwatches are effectively wearable computers. Many smartwatches run mobile apps, while a smaller number of models run a mobile operating system and function as portable media players, offering playback of FM radio, audio, and video files to the user via a Bluetooth headset. Some smartwatches models, also called ‘watch phones’, feature full mobile phone capability, and can make or answer phone calls.

Such devices may include features such as a camera, accelerometer, thermometer, altimeter, barometer, compass, chronograph, calculator, cell phone, touch screen, GPS navigation, Map display, graphical display, speaker, scheduler, watch, SDcards that are recognized as a mass storage device by a computer, and rechargeable battery. It may communicate with a wireless headset, heads-up display, insulin pump, microphone, modem, or other devices.

HEALTH BANDS:

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”  ~John F. Kennedy

Health is the major concern for humans in today’s life. Some gadgets make it more  easier to measure our health so that we can improve it.

-An activity tracker/health band is a device or application for monitoring and tracking fitness-related metrics such as distance walked or run, calorie consumption, and in some cases heartbeat and quality of sleep. The term is now primarily used for dedicated electronic monitoring devices that are synced, in many cases wirelessly, to a computer or smartphone for long-term data tracking, an example of wearable technology. There are also independent smartphone and Facebook apps.
