Nature is like music for our eyes, it keeps us enthralled, rejuvenated and close to the creations of god.
In our next article Vivek takes us to east Sikkim to witness the beautiful lake of Changu, right from the valleys to the panoramic view of the lake. Sikkim gives us a glimpse of everything nature has to offer us.
After a local visit to the Gangtok city Vivek was all set to explore the picturesqueness changu lake of East Sikkim. Before starting his expedition Vivek gives us a quick note about the sensitivity of East Sikkim. Its proximity to China border makes east Sikkim a rather sensitive area which is controlled by Indian army. Due to this fact, access around many areas might be duly limited. Having said that, it does not in any way restrict Sikkim from taking your breath away and giving you a run for your money.
A journey through the curling roads of rugged valleys took Vivek to the beautiful lake of Changu also known as Tsomgo. Due to its glorious history and belief consisting of various legends, the lake is sacred to Sikkim and its people. The lake offers a wonderful view which can be further thrilling with a ride on the colorful yaks. Vivek was delighted to take the tour of a rather exquisite lake on a colorful yak walking at its own pace giving him the most pleasant experiences of the beauty surrounding the nature.
The lake is more scenic during summers with an array of rare flowers surrounding the valley. The calm lake gets frozen in the winters and the snow if bloomed with flowers gives an incredible shade of nature with colors of flowers in the beautiful lake placid amidst the valleys of Sikkim.
Offering a surreal view of nature makes Tsomgo Lake a must on every traveler’s itinerary. Vivek highly recommends taking some time out and setting an appointment for a delightful affair with nature!
